All beaches in Barbados are public, no private beaches. The spacious rental unit (apartment) is self-contained, with a separate entrance. Consists of 2-bedrooms, 1-3 pc. bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, living/dining room, 1-2 pc. powder room, & private deck. Bedrooms are air conditioned and with ceiling fans, twin bedded or joint them together for a queen-size bed. Ideal for one or two couples or for a single person. Dunnhaven villa is set in a spacious sub-division, Jamestown Park across from Discovery Bay Hotel, away from the noisy main road in the quaint town of Holetown in the beautiful parish of St. James on the idyllic West Coast. A two minute walk to the beach, the calm Caribbean Sea.
Historic Holetown, originally called Jamestown, is the home of a monument to the first settlers of Barbados and is a popular spot for tourists. Within pleasant walking distance are 2 shopping malls; West Coast Mall with a supermarket & duty free shops & the newly built Limegrove Lifestyle Center, yours to discover. Tourists also enjoy shopping at the Chattel Village for clothing, souveniers, and The Gourmet Shop (for specialty items). Also, commercial banks, a police station, post office, library, fresh vegetable stand, gas station, and a variety of restaurants & bars are all in Holetown. No car is necessary, just venture out using the local buses, the fare US $1.00 ($2.00 Bds.); negotiate with a taxi driver for a personal tour, or book one of the many island bus tours. Rental cars are also available. While endless beaches and a delightful year-round climate seduce sun worshipers, Barbados offers splended cultural events, sporting activities and historic attractions making Barbados a treasure to behold. |
Rates and Terms:
Rate: (Maximum 4 people): 1 or 2 people; $90.00 US per day ($630.00 US per week) 3 people; $150.00 US per day ($1050.00 US per week) 4 people; $180.00 US per day ($1260.00 US per week) Available to-date: between March 10 to April 22, 2012. Sorry, to-date until March 9th, 2012 is booked (updated January 10, 2012). E-mail Dunnhaven@hotmail.com for any questions you may have. Prices may change without notice. To hold a reservation, 20% deposit (non-refundable) is required within 7 days of booking. The balance due one month prior to arrival date, time permitting. All available dates on a first come, first served basis. A booking request without a deposit will be recorded, but will be pre-empted by a request accompanied by a 20% deposit. Our rates are reasonable and set to attract people who, like us, love travelling and making friends along the way. We understand the uncertainties of a 1st visit & the unpredictable future, and we are happy to work through any obstacles in our mutual interest. We can only confirm a reservation when we have the down-payment in hand. If for some reason you suddenly cannot travel on the chosen date for good reason, we will try our best to fill the void if you give us at least 30 days notice, and your deposit can apply to another available date within one years' time-frame that is convenient for both parties. This way, we will share some of the disappointment with you! |
What is included/What is not included:
Included: Dunnhaven is privately owned, and rental unit is a cheerful 2 bedroom unit; comes complete with a fully equipped kitchen. Appliances include refrigerator, stove, micro-wave, blender, and coffeemaker. Barbeque available upon request. Bedding for the twin beds, bath towels, hand & face towels for the bathrooms are also included. Beach towels available upon request. Maid service included once a week. Not Included: To keep the rental rate for accommodations reasonable, the rate does not include the supply of food and drinks, hand soap, dish detergent, toiletry items, and laundry service. Laundry available once a week for one load (please purchase your own laundry soap and/or softener). Additional loads for a small fee.

Superb Golf courses (world renowned course), Tennis, Sailing, Scuba diving, Snorkeling, Para-sailing, and Wind surfing (South-east coast), or just relax and enjoy the sun, sea and sand. Shopping (duty-free) in Holetown or Bridgetown (capital). Mount Gay rum tour, Harrison Caves, Bathsheba (East coast), North Point, Cherry Hill, Sam Lord's castle, St. Lawrence Gap, Pottery factories, Crane Beach, Flower garden (monkeys), Museum, Swim with turtles, dive to a ship wreck, submarine tour, and/or sail on the famous Jolly Roger pirate ship. Security, we all must play a part!
At home or on vacation, career thiefs are always watching. We recommend that though you are on vacation be alert; don't let your guard down, please do not wear expensive jewellery and do not flash cash around. The villa has dead-bolt locks and sliding bolts on all doors, and exterior sensor lights. Although the sub-division is in a very safe area, all windows are installed with security bars; mesh screens are fitted on all windows for those pesty mosquitos during dusk & dawn (bring your mosquito repellent). A safe in the room is available for your passport(s), monies, etc...Cameras, laptops can be stored in the closet out of view from strangers.
